Carne Asada Grill Taco Review – Birria Quesotaco:
Carne Asada Grill Taco Review – Birria Quesotaco:
Appearance = 1.8 / 2 – Looks perfect! The outside of the shell is crispy looking, but not burned. Appearing to be cooked just right.
Tortilla = 1.7 / 2 – For me this is the first place I had Birria Tacos and I have been holding it as the standard. Their tortilla is a darker color than others and thicker. Great taste and texture! It has crispyness to it, but it is not a crispy taco. This is how I feel Birria tacos should be. Adding my insights from eating here many times, it is consistent. I have had different employees cook this taco for me and the shell is exactly the same each time.
Meat / filling = 1.7 / 2 – The Beef Birria here has this great flavor and so much cheese. Obiviously the name is Queso Taco. The beef is juicy, but not liquidy.
Sauce = 1.5 / 2 – I always get the avocado and mild sauce. I recommend getting them on the side. It is just easier to eat the taco. The sauce is slightly above average, but I could eat the taco without it. It does not make the taco that much better by adding it. The consommé (Birria Dippring sauce) I dip most of my bites in. I guess I need to try the hot sauce.
Value = 1.7 / 2 $4.49 – This seems to be about the normal cost for a QuesoTaco.
Total Score 8.5 / 10
Carne Asada Gril
Ambiance = 7 / 10 – Nice & clean new location. You see the charcoal grill as you walk in. I like that you can see your food being made in front of you and they ask you each step on the way through the building of your magnificently gorgeous Mexican cuisine.
Service = 8 / 10 - The service is great. The food takes a moment to prepare, so it is not slow but not fastfood. I am ok waiting 5-10 minutes to eat a taco that was just made for me.
