Breakfast Tacos

Image
Breakfast Tacos.  I am loving these.   Cook Hashbrown patty in Airfryer or oven (You can use shredded Hashbrowns, but it won’t have that desired crispyness) Get flour tortillas that fit in your pan or trim to fit. Spray pan with cooking spray Beat as many eats as you like, I do 1, but do the amount you want. Heat pan to medium heat Add egg to heated pan Salt & Pepper Add bacon (I use bacon bits to make it easy) or your desired meat.   Add some cheese Add tortilla on top Flip Add more cheese and cooked crispy Hashbrown patty Add hot sauce (I used El Pato) Fold I slice in half Eat and enjoy! Carne Asada Grill Taco Review – Birria Quesotaco:

Image
Carne Asada Grill Taco Review – Birria Quesotaco:  Appearance = 1.8 / 2  – Looks perfect!  The outside of the shell is crispy looking, but not burned.  Appearing to be cooked just right. Tortilla = 1.7 / 2  – For me this is the first place I had Birria Tacos and I have been holding it as the standard.  Their tortilla is a darker color than others and thicker.  Great taste and texture!  It has crispyness to it, but it is not a crispy taco.  This is how I feel Birria tacos should be.  Adding my insights from eating here many times, it is consistent.  I have had different employees cook this taco for me and the shell is exactly the same each time. Meat / filling = 1.7 / 2  – The Beef Birria here has this great flavor and so much cheese.  Obiviously the name is Queso Taco.  The beef is juicy, but not liquidy.   Sauce = 1.5 / 2  – I always get the avocado an...

Kenny’s Taco

Image
Kenny’s Tacos It is a taco I have had my whole.  Some may gut say it is like a Jack in the box taco, that may be a far stretch.   The tacos are name after my Dad Kenny.  They were a family favorite my whole childhood.  They were a special occasion type of dinner.  I’m the 80s and 90s my parents used lard to cook them.  So they were a little unhealthy back then.  Now we used cooking spray such as Pam to cook them.  Lard was pretty awesome.  It brought the tacos to the next level.  I had a group of friends over in the 90s and we would have taco eating contest.  My friend Ward ate like 27 and I at 24.  Ward passed way from cancer.    He will always be the taco champion.  I will never attempt to eat that many. We always go to the Sand Dunes for Thanksgiving week.  2 of the nights we made Kenny’s tacos.   Directions About 1 oz ground hamburger add salt and pepper as cooking or add it to the meat as you spre...

Meno’s Place Taco Review - Mesa Arizona

Image
Meno’s Place Taco Review:  Street Tacos – Corn Tortillas w/ Chicken Street Tacos – Corn Tortillas w/ Pork (Al Pastor Style) Street Tacos – Corn Tortillas w / Steak (Carne Asada) Appearance = 1.6. / 2  – They looked just like the online pictures, it was a dine in order so they were not wrapped up.   Tortilla = 1.6 / 2  – Good texture, taste and it was not dry.  The tortillas seem to be a better quality then most street tacos I have had.  I was able to separate the 2 tortillas so I only ate one.  I have found sometimes that tears up the whole taco.  These tortillas stayed together and just tasted great. Meat / filling = Chicken 1.6 / 2  – It had good flavor, moist and was not dry, as chicken can sometimes become dry.  It was my least favorite of the 3, but chicken may not be my favorite meat I guess.  If you love chicken get it.  Meat / filling = Pork 1.7 / 2  – Meno’s take on the Al Pasto...

Salsitas - Taco Review, Mesa AZ

Image
Salsitas Country Club Drive & Main Street, Mesa AZ 35 N. Country Club Drive, Mesa, AZ   Salsitas Soft Taco Deshebrada, Puerco En Chile Verde & Chile Rojo Tacos (Beef, Green & Red Pork Tacos) I apparently ordered wrong, maybe they usually don’t put this meat on these tortillas or something.   Appearance = 0.5 / 2 – The tacos were soaking in all the meat juices.  Don’t eat one of these while driving. Tortilla = 0 / 2 – They were just awful, not edible super dry and fell completely apart.  I watched them make the tacos and they immediately brought them to my table.  In that 30 seconds or so the toritalls got even worse than they actually are by all the liquid on the plate from the meat.  I did order tacos not the start of a enchilada. Meat / filling = 0 / 2 – Not good, had to order something else.  I can’t eat much so if I have to order more, it is a bad sign. Sauce = 1.0 / 2 – I have had worse sauce and I have h...

Rolberto’s Mesa AZ - Taco Review

Image
Rolbertos Restaurant This was my very first visit to Rolbertos.  Years ago I was doing some business one day across the street and it was taking some time.  So for an hour or so I watched all of the people coming in and out of Rolbertos and I could even smell the amazing smells across the street.  I thought I need to try that place, it is packed and has a constance of people driving through and eating out side.  One could judge the area around the restaurant or even the small older building and choose to not order a taco here.  If you do that, you are the one missing out.  This restaurant may really go with the saying, don’t judge a book by its cover.  This is why driving quick by a place and not turning in because it is not a new shiny modern building, is that you miss out.     Rolbertos Crispy Beef Taco Review Appearance = 1.8 / 2  – It looked like a great crispy beef taco.  It was not...
