Salsitas Soft Taco Deshebrada, Puerco En Chile Verde & Chile Rojo Tacos (Beef, Green & Red Pork Tacos)

I apparently ordered wrong, maybe they usually don’t put this meat on these tortillas or something.  

Appearance = 0.5 / 2 – The tacos were soaking in all the meat juices.  Don’t eat one of these while driving.

Tortilla = 0 / 2 – They were just awful, not edible super dry and fell completely apart.  I watched them make the tacos and they immediately brought them to my table.  In that 30 seconds or so the toritalls got even worse than they actually are by all the liquid on the plate from the meat.  I did order tacos not the start of a enchilada.

Meat / filling = 0 / 2 – Not good, had to order something else.  I can’t eat much so if I have to order more, it is a bad sign.

Sauce = 1.0 / 2 – I have had worse sauce and I have had much better.  The red was ok. The green had some heat, but I did not notice any flavor being added. 

Value = 0.5 / 2  $1.99 – I would order something else.

Salsitas Hard Shell Shredded Beef (Deshebrada) Taco

Appearance = 1.4 / 2 – It was a premade shell, but looked attractive as good looking tacos can do that.

Tortilla = 1.0 / 2 – Premade shell, shell felt and tasted like it had been just fried.  So it did not appear to come from a box or from another location.

Meat / filling = 1.4 / 2 – After eating lots of tacos, I feel the ones that put all of these extra toppings on their taco are trying to mask the meat, cheese and tortilla flavorings and such.  With the sour cream & tomatoes.  The filling was not bad, but it was hard for me to taste the flavor of the shredded beef.  I had  just had a few bites of a soft corn tortilla Shredded beef taco that just onions and cilantro.  That is how I know what the beef tasted like, not from this taco.  Adding sauce or not sauce did not matter with this taco.  Sour cream was the star of this taco.  

Sauce = 1.0 / 2 – I have had worse sauce and I have had much better.  The red was ok. The green had some heat, but I did not notice any flavor being added.

Value = 1.0 / 2  $2.75 – Still over priced, may be the best thing here.

Ambiance = 5 / 10 – They had indoor seating in older booths.  Food smelled really good, and look clean.

Service = 4 / 10  - There appeared to be a problem with communication with the cashier.  I don’t think it was a language barrier, she appeared to be new and asked the cook after we ask for each item, or asked her a question.  So if the cashier had a better knowledge of menu and ate the food, she probably could of advised me to order better.

Taco Boy’s On Rural North of Apache Blvd. 1015 S. Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ   My cousin Kelsee Recommended this one.  Thanks Kelsee! They have a location in Phoenix and the Tempe location is a newer one.  Great place, great atmosphere and busy.  Opens  at 10am  and people are outside waiting.   Everything for the most part just comes with meat on the tortilla and you can dress it how you please from their salsa bar, cilantro, onions, sauces, cabbage and so on.  I really liked that aspect of it.   The tortillas are not made in house.  They are made by a vendor, but made fresh daily.  The cashier, not sure who he is was very friendly with me asking him about the tortillas.  Not all the taco shops have been as friendly, they sometimes take great offense to being asked if they make them in house.  Taco Boy’s has some class.   I will work on asking it, as smoothly and nicely as ...

Biscuit Tacos

Biscuit Tacos Turned out so good.  I bought these taco molds from Amazon, seem to work pretty good.  Had a disaster with frying wonton wrappers, but that is a different story.   Take some buttermilk biscuits add flour and roll them out and thin as you can.  I would recommend rolled all of the ones you are going to cook at once.  I noticed the 2 I saved for later were harder to work with being out of the fridge and opened.   I put the rolled out biscuits in the taco molds.  I can imagine that you could use a wad of foil or something to make these.  I used the airfryer, for speed and I like how it cooks bread.  I cooked at 350 degrees for 7 minutes or so turning it 3 times. It may take longer depending on your airfyer or oven.   I made Pepper Gravy from Walmart or Sams.  It is pretty cheap and easy to make.  Don’t make gravy from scratch too much, because of this mix. Crumbl Cookie Review 01/18/22 week of  Jan 17-22   PEANUT BUTTER FT. REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUP Our signature peanut butter cookie topped with melty peanut butter chips and chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  This one the cookie was pretty peanut buttery and I liked it.  The reese’s toppings were great.   8/10   The Copycat recipe I feel tasted better than the actual crumbl. The Copycat was thinner and easier to eat chew and better texture.  Copycat recipe is from @Chahinex_tbt  https://lifestyleofafoodie.com/crumbl-peanut-butter-reeses-cookies/#recipe-link .     9/10   ROCKY ROAD A dark chocolate cookie stuffed with gooey marshmallow filling then covered in semi-sweet chocolate chips and almonds.
