Jalapeño Ranch Crispy Chicken Soft Taco
Jalapeño Ranch Crispy Chicken Soft Taco
I had a Habanero Crispy Chicken Soft Taco at Del Taco a few weeks ago. It was so good, and has been on my find. I wanted to make something similar. This is not a copycat, this recipe was inspired by Del Taco’s taco.
Lets start with making the sauce.
Jalapeño Ranch Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
• 3 jalapeños
• ¾ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
• ¼ cup mayonnaise
• 2 TBLS dry ranch mix
• ½ TSP garlic powder
• ½ TSP onion powder
• Fresh lime juice from 2 limes
• 1 bunch cilantro
• salt & pepper to taste.
Instructions
• Cut open jalapenos and remove the seeds and membrane.
• Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor. Pulse until smooth.
• Place in fridge as soon as done, let set up in fridge for 30 minutes. I prefer putting in a squeeze bottle.
Start cooking our crispy chicken. You can use anything you want. Right now I would recommend the crispy chicken from Costco, Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks. Cooking it in the Airfryer for the extra crispness. I cook these at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes.
Warm up your tortillas, I used flour street tacos.
Start assembling your tacos.
Add the crispy chicken
Add Jalapeno Ranch Sauce
Add Cheese
Add shredded lettuce
Add taco sauce (I used green can of El Pato)(Optional, so much flavor and heat from the Jalapeno Ranch Sauce)
The tacos turned out so good. This sauce is fantastic and has endless uses in other dishes/tacos. The sauce will keep for 4 days in the fridge.
The sauce is not Café Rio salad dressing, may look like it. However it puts out a slightly stronger bite. You could definitely use it as a salad dressing for a taco salad.
Give this a try, if you have leftover crispy chicken from another meal. Reheat in the Airfyer and make yourself a quick taco with this recipe.
