Birria Taco Review
Appearance = 1.8 / 2 – It looked perfect. Looked crispy.
Tortilla = 1.9 / 2 – Corn Tortilla which they make in house, is perfection. It is not out of a bag bought from a vender. It comes from the kitchen. It was crispy as I have begun to expect a Birria taco to be.
Meat / filling = 1.8 / 2 – Beef Birria was great. The cheese is sliced, so it was a little bit different that I was use to. It was still good, different can be a good thing.
Sauce = 1.8 / 2 – I did not use the hot sauce on this one. Such good flavor I did not need to. The Consome was pretty good, I was bummed about the sauce being $1.29 extra. The more I have thought about it, this taco is $3.79 and most other Birria tacos are $4.50-$5:50 that come with Consome. So this may be cheaper because you will not need to buy multiple Consomes if you buy more tacos. Some of my over thought.
Value = 1.8 / 2 $3.79 – Also the $1.29 added for Consome. I have had a lot more expensive Birria Tacos that don’t come close to this one. I will be back for this one.

Asada Taco Review:
Appearance = 1.8 / 2 – Looked amazing, loaded with romaine lettuce & tomatoes.
Tortilla = 1.9 / 2 – Corn Tortilla which they make in house, is perfection. It is not out of a bag bought from a vender. It comes from the kitchen. The tortilla is thick, not dry, but not falling apart. Most places have 2 tortillas together, not here.
Meat / filling = 1.9 / 2 – Eating the asada just plain with a fork was so good by itself. People have told me that it is hard to not have asada be dry, well it can be done. Having the lettuce and tomatoes was a nice touch for me. I liked the sliced cheddar cheese, it seems different not being shredded cheese. It taste amazing, so that is all that matters.
Sauce = 1.6 / 2 – They give you 2 sauces, green and red. Green had great flavor and was mild. The red was super hot had some good flavor, but the heat kicked in immediately. If you are not use to having some heat, don’t even try it. Well unless you need to clean out your sinuses.
Value = 1.8 / 2 $3.79 – You get what you pay for, I have had asada tacos that where half this cost, but were awful. I will be back for another one of these.

Chicken Taco Review:
Appearance = 1.8 / 2 – Looked amazing, loaded with romaine lettuce & tomatoes. Chicken does not always look good to me in tacos, this did.
Tortilla = 1.9 / 2 – Corn Tortilla which they make in house, is perfection. It is not out of a bag bought from a vender. It comes from the kitchen. The tortilla is thick, not dry, but not falling apart. Most places have 2 tortillas together, not here.
Meat / filling = 1.9 / 2 – I also tried chicken just plain with a fork and it was so good too. Having the lettuce and tomatoes was a nice touch for me. I liked the sliced cheddar cheese, it seems different not being shredded cheese. I sometimes don’t even try chicken tacos, or if I do it is just so I can try everything. I usually don’t eat much of it and focus on the beef or pork or anything but chicken. Well The Taco Spot has gotten the chicken tacos figured out. It may be the best soft corn tortilla chicken taco I have ever had.
Value = 1.8 / 2 $3.79 – Again you get what you pay for. I have had many chicken tacos for $2-$3 that were uh edible. I will be back for one of these too.

There are lots of posts about the Birria tacos here at The Taco Spot, and I have been disappointed lately on food that has a lot of social media influencers posting “Hey you have to try this place” In the Case of the Birria Taco at The Taco Spot, they got it right. Most everything I have seen here was for Birria Tacos, Birria Quesadillas and the Birria Ramen.
I could not stop eating these tacos, they were so good. I usually just have 1 bite without sauce and 1 bite with sauce. On all 3 tacos I could not stop. These are some of the best tacos I have had. Tacos, it is all about the tortilla and The Taco Spot has that down.
If you have not been here, you have to try it. If you have been here, I am sure you have been back.
